Eric is a member of NAPFA, XYPN, and Fee Only Network.

“I used to play rugby for Jesuit High School and then while at LSU from 2005-2010. I now enjoy coaching youth sports for my twins, Adam and Zoey. I relish playing video games, particularly those made by Blizzard, with our oldest, Connor, and my ideal Saturday night is a sushi dinner and gaming session. I have collected and played Magic the Gathering intermittently since being introduced to the game by my dad in 1995, and the flavor text on the card Equilibrium (7th Edition) served as inspiration for our firm's name. Rachael and I value family time immensely and choose to spend our free time together or in small groups of close friends.”

Rachael Johns, J.D.

Rachael was born and raised in Metairie, LA.  After graduating from Louise S. Hebert Law School at LSU in 2010 with a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Diploma in Civil Law (DCL).  Upon graduation, Rachael joined a tax advisory and business valuation firm, serving as legal consultant, data manager, and client liaison. In 2016, Rachael got certified to teach mathematics and joined the educational arena, eventually moving into the role of academic coach, utilizing effective communication, data-driven analyses, and constant progress monitoring to ensure individual growth and goal attainment for students and teachers.

Equilibrium Mascots (and our “why”)

Connor, born in 2013, is the brains of the operation—constantly inquiring about the value of a dollar and ensuring equity for all. When not discussing finances, he can be found playing Minecraft, or watching a show about science. Zoey, born in 2015, is the heart of the operation, giddy that her parents are “finally” working together (despite being partners since 2000)! When not writing inspirational notes, she can be found singing, dancing (with dad), or gliding around on her hoverboard. Adam, born in 2015 (and Zoey’s twin), is the soul of the operation, looking to keep us grounded and humble by reminding us of all the details he deems important (such as no onions in his omelet and the Minneapolis Miracle). When not reminding us of our to-do list, he can be found watching sports, reading about sports, or playing sports (and hugging mom).

These three are why we continue to analyze and evaluate the health of our own financial situation, both now and in the future.

What is your why?
